Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025, meaning standard business PCs running Windows 10 no longer receive regular security updates, bug fixes or technical support from Microsoft.
While Windows 10 computers will continue to operate, they become increasingly vulnerable to new cyber threats as security vulnerabilities are discovered and remain unpatched. This can increase the risk of malware infections, ransomware attacks, data breaches and compliance concerns. Unsupported operating systems may also experience compatibility issues with newer applications, cloud services and hardware devices over time.
For businesses, the safest approach is to identify any remaining Windows 10 devices and create a plan to upgrade them to Windows 11 or replace hardware that does not meet the latest requirements. Windows 11 provides enhanced security features, improved performance and ongoing support, helping to protect your users, data and business operations.
Mooncomputers Recommends, If you are still using Windows 10 devices within your organisation, contact us for a compatibility assessment. We can identify affected systems, recommend the most cost-effective upgrade path, and help ensure your business remains secure and supported.

- Are remote workers using Windows 10 laptops?
- Do you have older PCs that cannot upgrade to Windows 11?
